Dog puppies bring much excitement

Getting a new puppy in the house can be as joy us as having a new baby at home. For the first few weeks he or she is the total centre of attention.  She brings much excitement to everyone especially the kids. Though little dog puppies can bring so much laughter and happiness, they do require a great deal of training and when that happens, it is not a fun thing to do. You’ll need a lot of love and patience.

New dog puppies will need a warm, cozy place to sleep that’s enclosed so they can’t escape while you’re away or sleeping. You can buy a crate, and this will be the puppy’s very own. Dog Puppies like to feel secure and the crate helps them to feel safe in their own special room.  During night hours, you can even move the crate to your bedroom so the puppy can see others in the family “den” sleeping as well. This helps to prevent crying during the night hours.

Dog Puppies also like to play, so it’s a good idea to have plenty of dog toys. Choose dog toys that are big enough so they can’t be swallowed by your pup. Keep in mind that older puppies love to chew so the toys should be chewable and durable. Puppies enjoy squeaky toys, balls, plush toys, and even small pillows. Choose one special toy for the puppy’s crate and keep the others put away except during playtime.

The health of the puppy dogs is the most important thing. Deworming is a critical part of dog care, over 98% of all dog puppies are born with worms. Another major issue is with tick and fleas. Make sure to bring the puppy to visit the vet regularly, especially at the beginning stage of “home coming.”

Puppies Training

Puppy training is very important upon your puppy’s arrival in your home. The soonest that you can implement puppy training, the better it is for you and your pet.

It is easier if you train dog puppies at a young age, they will most probably rebel against discipline as they get older.  At age from two to three months will be suitable for dog puppies begin the training. Whether it’s barking uncontrollably, urinating on your carpet, showing aggressiveness towards you or other people in your family, or just not wanting to follow any commands you give them, you can getting them to stop these behaviors.

One of the earliest puppy training lessons you should teach is potty training, you should start as soon as your puppy comes home. As soon as you see your pup in the actual act of urinating, quickly pick it up and bring it to your chosen place where he can do this act. Dog puppies are very quick learners.

Other important training is teaching him that coming to you when called is the best thing he can ever do as your pet. If your puppy learns to come back to you the soonest time possible, then you can be assured that he will know how to return in case he gets out of your house. While training with the ‘come back to you’ command, you have to give him some treats every time he obeys the command.
